The Client

Nomad Internet provides rural and mobile wireless internet service to customers across the US who lack access to traditional broadband. Serving rural families, RV travellers, and remote workers, they had built strong brand recognition — but their website was not converting the demand they were generating.

The Challenge

Nomad Internet was driving strong inbound traffic but sign-up rates were not keeping pace. The plan selection funnel was leaking — a significant share of visitors who arrived at the plan page abandoned before completing sign-up.

Exit data identified three recurring issues: visitors could not distinguish which plan matched their situation, coverage uncertainty was unresolved, and the 14-day risk-free guarantee — the strongest conversion asset — was buried below the fold.

Our Approach

We began with a full CRO audit covering the homepage, plan selection flow, checkout, and mobile experience. We then rebuilt the key funnel pages from scratch — combining conversion strategy, UX design, and conversion copywriting to create a journey engineered for sign-ups.

What We Changed

    Plan clarification selector
    Replaced the side-by-side comparison with a three-option selector (Rural Home / RV & Travel / Remote Worker) that highlighted the recommended plan, eliminating decision paralysis at the most critical funnel step.

    Risk-reversal repositioning
    Moved the 14-day money-back guarantee from a footer footnote to a prominent badge adjacent to the CTA button on every plan page, converting a buried afterthought into an active conversion driver.

    Inline coverage checker
    Added a coverage verification tool on the plan selection page, letting visitors confirm availability for their address before committing — removing the number one pre-purchase objection.

    Mobile checkout redesign
    Reduced the mobile sign-up flow from 5 steps to 3 by merging address and plan confirmation into a single screen, with tap-to-autofill for address fields.
